Thomas Staines, a CSU Pueblo graduate representing England, won the men's invitational elite section of the 800 meters in a lifetime-best 1:45.28 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Stadium at Azusa Pacific University. Staines had previously run 1:45.57 in 2018 at the Music City Distance Carnival in Tennessee.
