Katherine Higgins, a sophomore at Colorado State-Pueblo, placed second in the women's shot put final with a personal-best effort of 51-4.50 (15.66m) in the fifth round at her home facility at the NCAA Division 2 Championships. Higgins secured runner-up at both the Division 2 indoor and outdoor shot put finals.
